Review: Mortal Kombat scores a flawless victory with an installment we all have been waiting for the better part of 25 years. This outing brings with it the brutality and gore of the games while still trying to weave a great story with character development.

I was really glad that they made the choice to not only bring some of the characters we expect but others that we didn't and it made all the difference to see these characters played out on screen. Not only did we get to see favorites from the game but a few new ones which leads us to hope that we see them in the games soon.

The fight scenes are well choreographed and the pacing is right where it should be. The choices for who they had play the characters all fit really well and let you just soak in who they were trying to play and it made the movie that much more enjoyable. The sheer amount of blood and gore was impressive to say the least and it was great that they chose to align it more with the games.

The movie is filled with epic scenes that will take your breath away and a killer music score to boot. The CGI is well done and the writing is remarkably well done for a video game based movie. This Reboot of the 1995 movie by the same name leaves nothing to be desired except more bloodshed and gruesome fights. It's an action packed thrill ride that was made for the fans of the game and really connects with all that is MORTAL KOMBAT.

I give this movie a solid 10 out of 10 and can't wait for more sequels which hopefully come soon. Actor Joe Taslim in an interview with Variety said he has signed on for four more movies. So here is to hoping everyone loved it as much as I did. Well thanks again for joining me on another movie review nerds!  As always, I will see you on the other side.
